China Anti-Doping Agency and Zimbabwe Olympic Committee sign Anti-Doping Education Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding

September 26-28, 2018, invited by the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee (ZOC), China Anti-Doping Agency (CHINADA) signed the MOU between ZOC and CHINADA Concerning Co-operation in the Field of Anti-Doping Education and Prevention in Harare, Zimbabwe. Mr. Sai Fei, Director of Education and Prevention Department, and Mr. Zhou Weicheng, Education Manager participated in this activity.

In the morning of September 26, Mr. Admire Masenda, President of ZOC and Mr. Saifei, signed the MOU. This cooperation includes the anti-doping education of sports officials, athletes and support personnel, the exchange of experts in the field of anti-doping education and prevention, the innovation of anti-doping education activities, and development of anti-doping education materials etc.

As one of the cooperative projects, clean sport education officer, Mr. Zhou Weicheng, delivered a unique Anti-Doping Qualification Program (ADQP) activity for the Zimbabwe Youth Olympic delegation, which was about to attend the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. The delegation's athletes and Support Personnel attended education lectures, took exams and made an oath.

Kirsty Coventry, the Olympic swimming medalist, IOC Athlete Committee Chairperson, Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation of Zimbabwe, extended warm welcome to the strong support of CHINADA at YOG 2018 Team Announcement, and expressed her heartfelt thanks for the anti-doping prevention work done by CHINADA, and hoped that this cooperation would further promote the development and growth of anti-doping education work in Zimbabwe.

The cooperation with the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee on anti-doping education is a concrete step taken by CHINADA to participate in and contribute to the Belt & Road Initiative. While delivering anti-doping program for Chinese athletes, CHINADA also actively carries out international cooperation in anti-doping work. CHINADA is more than willing to take an active part in anti-doping international affairs, and to fulfil its obligation, contributes the wisdom of China to international anti-doping work, shares its experience and achievements, and extends its education system to the international community.
